Since I came out publicly as an HIV positive woman in 1991 I have taken many opportunities to be visible and share my story (see below).
Of course, in 1991 the internet didn't exist so there was no You Tube / Google / Twitter to announce myself but I did radio/newspaper/TV interviews as well as training courses to raise awareness and allow people to see me as a woman living with HIV.
Today the landscape is very different and I was delighted to make my first ever TEDX talk in May 2018.
